Branding style axolotl sticker sheets

A sort of space boys tribute

This piece was a personal project, more of an empty idea of random doodles that became something when I was asked to make something of it. As I never did print these out, this illustration is special to me as it was made for the very person who taught me how to create and design my favorite thing to do- sticker sheets.
A breakdown process of sticker making

I started this sticker sheet with the idea of trash animals. A raccoon, opossum, and cat. I took to procreate and sketched out basic ideas of how i wanted them to look and the vibe I was going for was starry eyes and cute. I wanted a dynamic trio of animals. The idea was to make them cute with a warm vibe to them, pulling away from the stereotype of filthy animals.
Moving forward I brought the characters into Adobe Illustrator and began outlining the sketches until I got the character heads how I wanted them to look as the sketches themselves were merely a reference point. Placing the characters in an arched line with the cat in the front was to give it emphasis of cartoons.

Adding in the details was a tedious task at hand as gradients and placement of finical things such as eye sparkles and placement of different drawn parts of the animals like each fluff and fur.
A finished sticker sheet

Lastly, adding more minor details such as whiskers and a unified background to tie the sticker sheet together in a theme. I was going for a more alleyway vibe with these characters. I put an offset path around the characters to show they are stickers.
